Montreal, QC, May 30, 2007 — Silanis Technology, the world’s most experienced e-signature provider, today announced that its vice-president and co-founder, Michael Laurie, had been invited to participate on panels of experts at two separate events to be held by the National Association for Variable Annuities (NAVA) this June.

At the NAVA 2007 Operations & Technology Conference, being held from June 3-6 in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Laurie will discuss the laws, regulations and industry standards affecting electronic signatures as part of the “Straight-Through-Processing (STP) and Compliance with E-Signature, Record and Contract Laws” panel.

NAVA’s 2007 Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Conference, from June 24-26 in Washington, DC, will see Mr. Laurie contribute to a session on the electronic signature process and how to comply with Section 101(c) of ESIGN, a consumer protection mechanism that requires businesses to obtain consumers’ consent before transacting with them electronically.

Moderated by Jeremiah S. Buckley, partner, Buckley Kolar LLP and special counsel for NAVA’s STP Project, the panel will address the responsibilities of transaction participants, distributors, carriers and consumers with respect to NAVA’s STP standards.

Silanis has participated in previous NAVA events, and Mr. Laurie is a regular speaker on issues of e-signature compliance and legal enforceability. The company itself has extensive experience in implementing e-signature solutions, in part through its many prestigious clients in the insurance industry.
