(OTC BB: VDSI.OB; www.vasco.com), a leading provider of Internet and enterprise-wide security solutions, announced today the grand opening of a new 24,000 square-foot European headquarters facility near Brussels, Belgium.

VASCO has had a major presence in the European market since its inception. The move to the new facility, which encompasses three floors of a major business center near downtown Brussels, represents VASCO’s strategy to expand its overall European operations. The grand opening is being attended by customers, journalists, investors, and partners. As part of its grand opening ceremony, VASCO has also launched its "Security at Work" award, which honors select companies for the "best use of security to achieve business goals." Each award recipient will receive a customized gold sculpture created specifically for VASCO by the famed Belgian artist Etienne Bruneel. The first recipient of the Security at Work award is Rabobank of the Netherlands, which draws on VASCO’s Digipass technology to provide secure remote banking to its customers.

Mr. Bert Willems of Rabobank noted that VASCO’s technology has been critical to the bank’s success. "That has helped us to solidify existing customer relationships, attract hundreds of thousands of new customers, and generate new revenue. Currently we have 425,000 customers using Digipass to secure their Internet and PC banking."

Mr. Mario Houthooft, President and Chief Executive Officer of VASCO, observed that "the opening of our new headquarters in Brussels helps to enhance our growing leadership position in providing security solutions that support the Internet economy.
