VASCO Launches Digipass Go 2, Easy to Use and Ultra Portable Digipass Adding Strong Authentication to Smart Cards

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois and BRUSSELS, Belgium – October 29, 2002 – VASCO (Nasdaq NM & Nasdaq Europe: VDSI; www.vasco.com), a global provider of enterprise-wide security products that support e-business and e-commerce, announced today that it will officially introduce Digipass Go 2 during the CARTES tradeshow in Paris, from November 5 until November 7. Digipass Go 2 is the most recent addition to VASCO’s successful range of smart card based Digipass models, including the very successful Digipass 800, used by the customers of financial institutions, credit card companies, ASP’s and others. Go 2 opens for VASCO the market of young people who need basic strong authentication.

Digipass Go 2 offers smart card issuers cost effective, real time strong authentication and TAN-list issuers a safer and cost effective alternative for the PIN-TAN (Personal Identification Number/TransAction Number) system.

With Digipass Go 2, VASCO aims at the large and mainly unexplored market segment existing of young and basic smart card users. With Digipass Pro 800, VASCO already possesses a successful smart card based token, designed for customers who regularly need strong authentication , especially in an e-banking environment.
