February 17, 2004

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois and BRUSSELS, Belgium – February 17, 2004 – VASCO (Nasdaq: VDSI; www.vasco.com), a global provider of enterprise-wide security products that support e-business and e-commerce, announced today that it will showcase its Digipass Pack for Novell at CeBIT 2004, the world’s leading information technology fair in Hanover (Germany) from March 18-24 2004 (www.cebit.de)

Digipass Pack is natively integrated in Novell’s Modular Authentication Service (NMAS), iChain and BorderManager products. This means that the customer doesn’t have to install an extra authentication server. In less than an hour the Digipass plug-in is implemented in the Novell infrastructure. After this short and simple effort, the Digipass strong authentication is up and running.

Novell solutions are present in over 80% of Fortune 500 companies in the United States. VASCO predicts a bright future for its Digipass pack for Novell, especially in the healthcare (hospitals), governmental and educational sectors. Today, an important number of companies and institutions have already added Digipass as a strong authentication plug-in to their Novell infrastructure. Digipass Pack is distributed via VASCO’s worldwide indirect sales network.

“Digipass Pack for Novell is the ideal strong authentication product for security aware companies using NMAS, iChain, or BorderManager,” said Jan Valcke, VASCO’s President and COO. “As such, it complements VASCO’s Digipass pack product family. We foresee that Digipass Pack for Novell will be a worldwide success. The potential for the product is especially high in Europe and the USA.”

About VASCO: VASCO designs, develops, markets and supports patented “Identity Authentication” products for e-business and e-commerce. VASCO’s Identity Authentication software is delivered via its Digipass security products, small “calculator” hardware devices carried by an end user, or in a software format on mobile phones, other portable devices, and PCs. For user access control, VASCO’s VACMAN products guarantee that only designated Digipass users get access to the application. VASCO’s target markets are the applications and their several hundred million users that utilize fixed passwords as security. VASCO’s time-based system generates a “one-time” password that changes with every use, and is virtually impossible to hack, or break. With 10 million Digipass products sold and ordered, VASCO has established itself as a world-leader for strong Identity Authentication with 250 international financial institutions, approximately 1400 blue-chip corporations, and governments representing more than 60 countries.
