Montreal, QC, October 12, 2010 - Organizations looking to grow or better service their customer base can now extend collaborative e-signing to their field reps and agents with the new release of e-SignLive™ for IBM LotusLive, said Silanis Technology. The electronic signature provider today announced newly optimized support for the Apple iPad, more options for authenticating customers, and added compliance features.
The new capabilities enable insurance agents, mortgage brokers, government workers, sales reps, realtors and other professionals to use the cloud-based service with consumers out in the field when closing new business and processing service requests, while ensuring greater ease-of-use, security and compliance.

Field reps and agents guide customers through an e-signing process by presenting documents and contracts to customers for electronic review and signing through the Safari web browser displayed on the iPad. No other application or software needs to be downloaded or installed on the iPad. Customers simply ‘click-to-sign’ documents by tapping on the iPad screen with their finger.
As an added security measure and to prove that it was the customer and not the field rep that e-signed the document, e-SignLive now also supports SMS authentication. After customers ‘click-to-sign’, a unique numeric code is sent to their cellular phone that they must then enter using the iPad to confirm their intent to e-sign.
And finally, in order to meet compliance requirements for conducting consumer transactions electronically, e-SignLive now presents the E-SIGN consent form and disclosures to users for acceptance within LotusLive. This enables organizations to gather secure, non-repudiable evidence that customers agreed (or disagreed) to conduct business electronically, and that legal disclosures, insurance policies or supporting documents were delivered to customers as part of the transaction.
