Montreal, Quebec, Canada - June 30, 1999 — Silanis Technology Inc. announced today its partnership with Baseline Medical Inc., a company that provides objective medical evaluations to clients in the healthcare and insurance industries. The two have jointly developed a customized version of ApproveIt, Silanis Technology's leading electronic approval software to allow medical providers, insurance companies, government agencies and self-insured entities to electronically exchange signed, legally binding documents such as Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs), insurance forms, prescriptions and other critical documents.
Shortly after Baseline acquired federal and state approval to use the software, an agreement was signed between Silanis and Baseline. Baseline purchased 10,000 licenses for ApproveItTM and began implementing the software externally in March 1999. As a result, Silanis has further strengthened its market presence and Baseline has gained a competitive advantage over other IME companies in a highly competitive, client-oriented industry.
