eSignLive Presents on eMortgages at the MBA 2005 National Technology in Mortgage Banking Conference

March 23, 2005

Montreal, Qc, March 24, 2005 — Silanis, the leading provider of solutions that automate the business approval process, announced today that Michael Laurie, will participate in a panel at the upcoming Mortgage Bankers Association, 2005 National Technology Conference in Orlando, FL. The session, scheduled for Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 2:00PM, is part of the conference’s panel track designed to highlight progress and developments in eMortgages, eCommerce Security, web services and wireless technologies.

The panel presentation, “eDisclosures: Preparing Consumers for eMortgages” will demonstrate the significant return on investment that can be achieved through sending an electronic initial disclosure package to consumers. Through this session attendees will be exposed to the different models available to add this capability to their operations, including leveraging an aggregator model, subscribing to an ASP service or licensing and integrating the technology directly.

“Bringing the mortgage application process online is an excellent way to help acclimatize consumers to technology early in the process,” says Michael Laurie, Vice President of Strategic Alliances.  “It is a necessary step in the evolution of eMortgages and will help ensure widespread consumer adoption.”

Lenders that have automated the mortgage origination processes are seeing 75-90% closed loan ratios for loans originated online. One leading online lender has seen a three-fold increase in the number of mortgage application disclosure packages completed online.

The panel will outline the benefits and challenges of each model and use real world examples to help illustrate the points made.
