NW_20020307_en_CEBIT 2002_ VASCO’s New Digipass GO 1 is The Ultra Portable and User Centric Alternative for Static Passwords and PIN-TAN

March 7, 2002

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois and BRUSSELS, Belgium – March 07, 2002 – VASCO Data Security International (Nasdaq NM & Nasdaq Europe: VDSI; www.vasco.com), a global provider of enterprise-wide security products that support e-business and e-commerce, today announced that it will officially introduce Digipass GO 1 during CeBIT 2002. Digipass GO 1 is an ultra-portable, stylishly designed authentication device that offers higher protection than static passwords. With Digipass GO 1 VASCO aims at the worldwide banking and corporate access market, with a strong emphasis on the US corporate networking and remote access market. At the same time, VASCO will announce its new, user-centred Digipass product range, envisaging three categories, namely GO, PRO and DESK. All three categories are fully interoperable with VASCO’s VACMAN product family.

With Digipass GO 1, VASCO aims at its traditional banking market but also at the corporate networking and e-commerce markets, in particular in the USA. In both markets, security flaws due to statistic passwords as PIN (Personal Identification Number) and TAN (TransAction Number) are imminent. The Digipass GO 1 strong authentication, in conjunction with VACMAN
Server security, solves these problems by generating dynamic passwords, fulfilling the most widely spread need for security. Digipass GO 1 is ultra-portable which means that it can be used anywhere, anyhow and at any time. It can be carried in a shirt pocket, clipped on a belt, worn on a necklace or as a classy key holder. This means that users can have security anywhere, anyhow and at any time. This asset of Digipass Go 1 is reinforced by its stylish design. The combination of aesthetics and security will ensure that users will like to deploy and to wear the Digipass GO 1.

With Digipass Go, Pro and Desk, VASCO puts the focus completely on the user of the product.
Digipass GO is ultra-portable and extremely user friendly. Digipass GO 1 is the first-born in the "Go" range. Mobility is the key word for a Digipass Go.
Digipass Pro includes Digipass models for professional use, offering dynamic password and digital signature functionality.
Digipass Desk contains highly user friendly, full option Digipass models to be used on a professional's desk.

“With GO 1 we launch the first model in a range of user centric Digipass products very suitable for the e-commerce, corporate networking and remote access market worldwide, in the US and our other markets” said Jan Valcke, VASCO’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We are all set to conquer this field. VASCO’s VACMAN product range is fully interoperable with Digipass Go, Pro and Desk. We offer Digipass functionality on a multitude of platforms, for a multitude of applications. It is our belief that our cost-effective, secure and flexible products can boast assets that are unique in this market. More than ever, the Digipass/VACMAN product combination means securing trust, securing value in every sector, in every region.”
