March 14, 2002

CeBIT 2002 FAIR, Hanover, Germany – 14 March, 2002 - VASCO Data Security International (Nasdaq NM & Nasdaq Europe: VDSI; www.vasco.com), a global provider of enterprise-wide security products that support e-business and e-commerce, launches VACMAN Server 6.0 Corporate, the latest member of the VACMAN Server family of strong authentication solutions, during CeBIT 2002 in Hanover (Germany), the largest IT tradeshow in the world. VACMAN Server Corporate is a global AAA security product, securing access to any server in any branch of a corporation and supporting important world languages.

VACMAN Server Corporate secures access to the entire corporate network, regardless of the size of the company, the locations, number of entry points and server type. It combines RADIUS, LAN and Web functionality into a single, centrally managed and fully integrated AAA security product for the entire organization. Like the rest of the VACMAN Server range it interacts transparently with VASCO’s Digipass strong authentication devices.

With the release of VACMAN Server Corporate, VACMAN Server is now multilingual, supporting eight of the worlds’ major languages with embedded support for UK English, US English, German, French, International Spanish, Japanese, traditional and simplified Chinese. Administrators can change the selected language on the fly, making administration as simple as possible and eliminating the language barrier between company branches all over the world.

VACMAN Server fully supports Windows NT4 networks, Windows 2000 networks and UNIX PAM authentication. The added capability to support multiple domain and web servers enables strong authentication to be delivered regardless of an organizations size or geographic spread. Enhanced administrative tools have been added including VSAPI, a fully functional API allowing secure access to many of VACMAN’s security features from other applications.

“With this product, VASCO offers security to corporations of any size, regardless of their number of branches and the types of their servers” said Edwin Ingelaere, VP of Market Strategy Corporate Networks at VASCO. Security is a global issue. Combining VACMAN Server with its Digipass product range, VASCO offers a global solution to that issue. Our VASCO Channel Partner network is mature and ready to offer this new VACMAN product to their customers. VASCO has invested intensively to reach that goal. The last 12 months, we have trained almost 1000 skilled external IT professionals to work with VACMAN Server and to offer the product to their customers.”

“With VACMAN Server we have a top notch security product for companies that are based or have branches in non-English speaking regions” said Mark Kefford, Vice President of Product Strategy for VASCO. “Wrong interpretations of system instructions due to an incomplete understanding of the systems’ language are often the reason that security flaws occur. With our new multilingual VACMAN Server we eliminate this risk.”
