Promedico (The Netherlands) Secures Medical Data with VASCO's Digipass 300 and VACMAN Controller

(www.vasco.com) (Nasdaq: VDSI), the global number one vendor of strong user authentication and e-signature products, today announced that Promedico (The Netherlands) (www.promedico.nl) uses VASCO's Digipass and VACMAN Controller to secure the access to its Promedico-ASP medical data system.

Promedico-ASP makes patient files available for general practitioners over the Internet. Because Promedico hosts patient files on a central server, medical practitioners can use the Internet to add, change and check information about their patients. In addition, the users can authorise other parties to enter the secured network. For access to the patient files over the Internet, the use of Digipass 300 is mandatory.

The PIN-protected Digipass 300 provides organizations with a secure means of customer or employee identification and authentication for remote access to their computer systems and networks. Authentication functionalities embedded in Digipass 300 include One-time Password, Challenge-Response, host authentication and e-signatures.
