OneSpan Sign Developer: Email Notifications and Label Fields

Haris Haidary,

In this blog, I will go over what you might have missed in the OneSpan Sign Developer Community during the week of April 9th, 2018. Let's get straight to it.

Email Notifications

When creating transactions in OneSpan Sign, every recipient will receive an email notification to sign the documents. Though, you have the ability to disable emails. You may want to do this if, for example, you are looking to create an embedded application or you simply want to manage the emails on your end. In order to achieve this, you will need to send our support team ([email protected]) a request for this. You can find the complete list of email templates from our documentation site.

Pre-Populating Fields

Elsewhere, the sender of transaction can add a Label Field to embed text in a document. This is a read-only field with a value that will be simply stamped on the PDF. During the Signing Ceremony, the Label Field is displayed as non-editable text. Hence, if you have certain information about the signer that needs to be pre-populated onto the document, you can do so using label fields. From the link below, you can find a guide on how to manage fields in OneSpan Sign using the Java/.NET SDK and REST API.

Creating Salesforce Custom Fields

Finally, from the link below you can find a guide on how to create packages using the OneSpan Sign Salesforce Connector. Also included in the link is a video tutorial on how to create a custom field on either an Account, a Contact, an Opportunity or other Objects that can store the required information.
