GEICO honors eSignLive with its annual Partnership Excellence Award

April 9, 2006

Montreal, QC, April 10, 2006 — Silanis Technology, the industry’s most experienced electronic signature provider with more than two million government and commercial users, today announced that it is the recipient of GEICO’s 2005 Partnership Excellence Award. The award recognizes those individuals or groups who, through partnership with GEICO, “demonstrate their dedication, customer focus and fanatical service”.

Silanis earned the award based on an electronic signature project it completed in partnership with GEICO, the fourth largest private auto insurer in the U.S. The project was well received by customers and had a significant impact in the affected regions.

“We are extremely honored to receive this prestigious award from GEICO,” said Robert Al-Jaar, PhD, and Chief Technology Officer of Silanis. “It serves as testament to Silanis’ commitment to ensuring a quick and successful deployment of our enterprise, electronic signature solutions.”

With more than 14 years of experience and 1,100 customer deployments to its name, Silanis has become the electronic signature experts and has developed a proven methodology for going live fast. The company has collaborated with and assisted many Fortune 1000 organizations and large government agencies to eliminate the cost and inefficiencies of their paper-based, signing processes, including Stewart Title, BMW Financial Services, and the US Army.

“Not only does Silanis work closely with customers to deliver on time and on budget, we act as agents of change,” added Al-Jaar. “We guide our customers to deliver their part of the solution so that, together, we solve their business problem and see the return-on-investment as quickly as possible.”

Since deploying Silanis’ solution Stewart Title has seen the time to close a home mortgage drop to 15 minutes, thanks to Silanis’ electronic signature solutions. The US Army estimates that Silanis, with its integration partner IBM, will provide annual savings of $1.3 billion once the electronic forms and signature solution is deployed across their enterprise.

The electronic signature solution implemented for GEICO is ApproveIt® Web Server, a Web-based solution that enables customers to electronically review and sign regulated documents over the Web or in a point-of-sale environment, without the need to download any additional software or obtain a digital certificate. In addition to eliminating the inefficiencies and costs of paper from daily business processes, ApproveIt® Web Server solution creates reliable and auditable business records needed to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws, standards, regulations, and policies. The solution combines the security of a digital signature with a legally enforceable, electronic signature process. The solution goes one step further by incorporating advanced Process Signature® technology to handle the delivery, presentation, routing, digital copy management, control, and vaulting of electronically signed documents.
