OneSpan is looking for a  IT Systems Engineer to join our team in Chicago.  The IT Systems Engineer will install clients and support the ICT infrastructure, focusing on local and remote networks, VPN, and all other tools which enable the voice and data communication between Onespan employees and the outside world. Devices and solutions include all data communication devices and solutions, telephony systems, mobile devices (Windows, Apple, Android).

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responding to monitoring alerts from our infrastructure monitoring system
  • Responding to Helpdesk requests in a timely manner
  • Following up incidents until resolution
  • Acting as a mentor to colleagues, sharing information with other team members and IT management
  • Providing local support to Onespan employees (hardware/software)
  • Installing client software and operating systems
  • Support Microsoft Windows/Mac/Linux client operating systems
  • Support Microsoft Office applications and Office365
  • Configuring and maintaining users (Active Directory, Azure, cloud applications, SSO, etc.)
  • Identifying infrastructure needs by listening to users' needs, proactive monitoring, and following the advice of IT team leads and Director of Global IT Services
  • Monitoring the daily performance of the worldwide IT infrastructure
  • Managing projects for the region as well as in the local site to implement new tools, policies, and/or procedures following the global IT Strategy, IT Security Standards, and Enterprise Architecture
  • Supervising and coordinating external parties engaged in problem-solving, monitoring, and installing hardware, data-communication equipment, and software in cooperation with the North American IT Team Lead
  • Proposing and overseeing the implementation of modifications of commercial programs for internal needs in close cooperation with the Head of Business Applications.
  • Preparing evaluations of software/hardware and recommending improvements or upgrades to the Director of Global IT Services


  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Windows 7-10 clients, Mac and Linux clients
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Windows server 2008-2019 and various Linux versions
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Active Directory
  • Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL, IIS, Exchange, Office365, Azure, AWS
  • Strong knowledge and experience with network concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLAN, switching, routing, and network topology.
  • Knowledge and experience with telephony systems, Skype for Business, and Audiocodes
  • Good knowledge and experience with firewalls (preferably Palo-Alto)
  • Knowledge of Onespan products (IDENTIKEY / DIGIPASS)
  • Knowledge of MDM - AirWatch is preferred
  • Strong understanding and experience with VMware vSphere / vCenter
  • Team player and also able to work independently
  • Prepared to go to the limit to solve deep technical problems
  • Willingness to join a 24x7 availability program (rotating schedule)
