Horton Group to use eSignLive eSignLive with IBM LotusLive to deliver privacy policy training for protecting customer data

 Horton Group – a privately held insurance brokerage firm in the U.S., will use Silanis’ e-SignLive with IBM LotusLive to train employees on the company’s privacy policies for protecting customer data. By moving training to the cloud, the Horton Group will make it faster, more convenient, and less costly for its employees to be trained across four states, while capturing strong audit trail information that confirms employees have read, understood and agreed to follow the privacy policy. “The insurance business is based on trust, and trust can easily be broken if customer health records, medical and treatment history, and other personal information lands accidentally or intentionally in the wrong hands,” said Kevin Palmer, Corporate Attorney, Vice-President and Privacy Officer at the Horton Group. “That’s why, as an insurance broker that strives to provide best-in-class products and services, we take our customers’ privacy very seriously at the Horton Group,” continued Palmer. “e-SignLive and LotusLive will enable us to deliver timely training  to our new hires and existing employees, and quickly respond to any changes in regulations governing consumer privacy.” Prior to subscribing to the integrated e-SignLive and LotusLive cloud services from Silanis and IBM, Palmer travelled to individual offices to give a live two-hour training presentation requiring hours of preparation and travelling on his part. On-site training also required the Operations Department to coordinate associates’ availabilities and schedules, and required the Information Technology Department to set up the required computer, audio/visual equipment, and Web conferencing capabilities at each office to enable employees travelling on business to participate.
