JITC certification awarded to new release of ApproveIt Desktop e-signatures from eSignLive

Montreal, QC, May 25, 2010 - Silanis Technology today announced that the latest version of its desktop-based, electronic signature solution,ApproveIt Desktop 6.5, has passed JITC certification and is fully compliant with the interoperability requirements of the D0D PKI. The certification also confirms the e-signature solution’s interoperability with Lotus Forms Designer 3.5 and Lotus Forms Viewer 3.5 as required by the U.S. Army.“ApproveIt Desktop is a secure and trusted DoD e-signature solution with its origins going back the late nineties when the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff first starting using it to e-sign documents,” said Tommy Petrogiannis, CEO and co-founder of Silanis. “It’s also part of the world’s largest and most successful e-signature and e-forms implementation at the U.S. Army.”Earlier this year, the U.S. Army renewed its

 ApproveIt Desktop enterprise license agreement with Silanis. When fully implemented with the Army Publishing Content Management System, ApproveIt Desktop is expected to save the Army $1.3 billion each year. Other DoD agencies that have rolled out Silanis’ e-signing solutions to reduce the time, cost and errors of processing documents and forms include, the US Army Munitions Management Office, General Services Administration and the Air Force Global Combat Support System, , to name but a few. ApproveIt Desktop leverages the DoD PKI, Common Access Cards (CAC), and IBM WorkPlace forms, and is available on the GSA schedule. Built on top of digital signature technology, ApproveIt Desktop ensures that the contents of an electronically signed document or form can't be modified without detection or authorization, and that a permanent audit trail of the process is created to record the intent of all parties.
