INFOSECURITY 2006, London, UK, April 25, 2006 - VASCO Data Security International, Inc. (NASDAQ: VDSI), (www.vasco.com ), the global number one vendor of strong user authentication products, today announced its new Partner Certification Program for the EMEA region at the Infosecurity 2006 tradeshow in London, UK. By upping the investment in its channel network, VASCO plans to take advantage of the huge potential in the corporate network access/enterprise security sector.
VASCO has launched three new Partner Categories: VASCO Distributor, VASCO Select Partner and VASCO Premium Partners.
VASCO distributors are the core of the company’s indirect sales network. VASCO distributors are responsible for the distribution of Digipass and VACMAN for network access within a defined geographical area. They serve a network of resellers, providing support and initialization services. Currently, VASCO has 40+ distributors within the EMEA area.
In the reseller area, VASCO Select Partner will be the first certification level, benefiting of advanced technical and commercial support, training and a competitive discount percentage. In return, VASCO Select Partners need to have staff trained, provide end user first line technical support and reach certain revenue targets.
The top resellers of Digipass and VACMAN become VASCO Premium Partners, with a very interesting list of benefits, including commercial, technical and marketing support and a highly interesting discount. Requirements with regards to training, marketing activities, general cooperation with VASCO and revenue are of a higher level than the Select category. VASCO Premium Partners should be true extensions of VASCO within well defined geographical and technical markets.
