Sony Demonstrates FIU-810 Puppy Fingerprint Identity Token with eSignLive ApproveIt Desktop at RSA

RSA Conference, San Francisco, CA, February 23, 2004 — Sony Electronics and Silanis Technology will jointly demonstrate their solutions at booth 629 of the RSA Conference, in San Francisco, CA from February 24th – 26th. The recently announced Sony FIU-810 Puppy Fingerprint Identity Token will be showcased in conjunction with Silanis’ ApproveIt Desktop product to show trusted, paperless workflow and communications.
For years, organizations have been approving documents electronically with desktop credentials and digital certificates. With the introduction of the Sony FIU-810, users can securely store and carry a digital certificate and/or an ePersona file that can be unlocked with a fingerprint to electronically approve documents on any PC with a USB port. The device features on-board fingerprint scanning, digital certificate storage, and 64MB of file storage – which makes it ideal for on-the-go electronic approvals as part of either an ad-hoc or workflow-based approval process.
