eSignLive’ New Chief Technology Officer to Focus on E-Signature Scalability, Analytics, Mobility and the Cloud

 enterprise e-signature solutions with the largest e-signature deployments, announces the promotion of Alexei Savchenko to Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Savchenko will set the strategic direction for product development and guide all R&D efforts for Silanis’ enterprise e-signature offerings, with a particular focus on massive scalability; customer insight through analytics and mobility; and cloud computing.  Savchenko has been with Silanis since 2000, during which time he took on ever-increasing levels of responsibility, progressing from software developer to chief software architect. He architected the current generation of the company’s flagship product, Silanis e-Sign Enterprise Platform™; built enterprise-grade capability into the platform; and expanded on its reliability and performance in support of the high volume transactions required by Silanis’ largest enterprise customers. This required the adoption of open standards and web services, as well as service-oriented architecture principles. Savchenko also took over as Director of Silanis’ Innovation Lab for three years, which positioned him to prepare the company’s expansion into mobility analytics and other technologies. “Alexei has been involved in the architecture and design direction of the Silanis e-signature platform since the beginning, and this continuity, as well as his technical acumen and ability to leverage new technologies in very intelligent ways, makes for a natural progression to CTO,” says Tommy Petrogiannis, Silanis president and co-founder. “During Alexei’s tenure, Silanis’ solutions have matured to become the standard for enterprise e-signatures. By leveraging the convergence of associated technologies Alexei will now move us into our next phase of enterprise transaction solutions that dramatically alter how our customers will interact with their own customers, and ultimately, with end users.” Today, the Silanis e-signature platform processes an impressive 600 million documents signed annually – more than any other e-signature vendor worldwide. As Silanis’ customers continue to deploy across the enterprise, one of Savchenko’s short-term goals as CTO will be to enable massive auto scalability of e-signatures, so as to process hundreds of millions more e-signed documents per customer per year, where required. Savchenko’s mandate also includes innovating with customer analytics and mobility in ways that transcend conventional reporting, not only to provide deeper visibility that will further improve customer experience, but also to introduce predictive capabilities. According to Forrester Research, by 2020 the majority of e-signature transactions will be launched from mobile devices¹. As Silanis looks to the future, inbound-driven signing transactions (those brought to the consumer by email) will become so commonplace that people will use their mobile phones to e-sign transactions from anywhere. As an example, people will complete everyday processes such as damage claims for car accidents on-site where the event happens. They will take photos and video of the damage, upload a photo of their driver’s license or even record their voice, and bring all required information into the signing process immediately, so that downstream processes like approval of repair expenses by the insurance company can be finalized by the time the driver arrives home.

E-signatures are now considered a foundational technology for the enterprise, and therefore performance, robustness, scalability and the ability to integrate with multiple systems will be an ongoing focus for Savchenko—as will delivery of the e-signature platform. He will be responsible for guiding the overall delivery and deployment strategy for Silanis’ e-signing technology, which today is the only solution that can be deployed on-premises, as a managed service in the cloud (be it private or public), or as a signing service.

Savchenko takes over from former CTO Robert Al-Jaar, who recently moved into a new role at Silanis as Executive VP of Online e-Signature Services.
