eSignLive presents on Public Key Enabling Applications at the Annual DoD Identity Protection & Management Conference

June 6, 2006

Montreal, QC, June 7, 2006 — Silanis Technology, the industry’s most experienced electronic signature provider with more than two million users and consumers in business and government, today announced that its president and co-founder, Mr. Tommy Petrogiannis, will provide an electronic signature update at this year’s Annual DoD Identity Protection and Management Conference.

Mr. Petrogiannis will share an in-depth case study of how the US Army G-3 Munitions Management Office has succeeded to eliminate paper from all of its training and operations activities using electronic signatures, as well as reduced the need for soldiers to hand-deliver and hand-sign ammunition requests out in the battlefield.

In his presentation, Mr. Petrogiannis will provide an overview of the G3’s information system before and after adding electronic signatures. The audience will hear a first-hand account of the challenges encountered during the project and the factors that contributed to a successful implementation. The benefits that have been seen in the two years since introducing electronic signing will also be discussed, including: safer processes for requesting ammunition and less travel risks for soldiers, fewer data entry errors, and faster delivery of the ammo to soldiers-in-need.

Mr. Petrogiannis will also cover how the US Army has brought together key technology investments to ensure the highest levels of user and data authentication, including the DoD PKI, real-time CRL certificate verification using OCSP, Common Access Cards (CAC), electronic forms, and electronic signatures.

The conference, held at Jacksonville, Florida, is designed for Information Technology and Physical Security professionals, and will address the needs of DoD civilians, contractors, and US military personnel. Both programmatic and technical representatives will be on hand from the PMO, ACO, and BMO as well as subject matter experts from around the Government, Industry, Academia, the International Identity Management Community, Allied Countries, and other organizations.
