OneSpan is looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team in North America

This pivotal role is crucial to pipeline generation and requires a high level of engagement through our account-based approach targeting large enterprises across various industries. The SDR’s role is to open doors and opportunities for our field sales team and is accountable for driving daily activity and engagement metrics while achieving monthly and annual scheduled sales meeting and pipeline opportunity quotas.

OneSpan has a dedicated onboarding program designed specifically for this position with an emphasis on addressing business problems, targeting key personas, and leveraging sales plays that will contribute to new logo acquisition and pipeline creation.

You will be coached by a manager that has a proven track record and extensive business development and OneSpan solution selling experience.  Your Account Executives will also work closely with you to share best practices and actionable insights that will help you increase your engagement and secure meetings with specific stakeholders.This position is a great way for motivated individuals to develop sales & marketing experience within the rapidly growing cyber security technology industry.

This job is open to candidates residing in North America.

What You’ll Do:

  • Outbound prospecting and lead qualification that will lead to multiple meetings within a large account, in partnership with an Account Executives
  • Engage with prospects by phone, email and through social (i.e. LinkedIn)
  • Identify and connect with key Influencers and decision makers - up to, and including, senior level executives
  • Analyze prospect pain points, capture business needs and requirements, and move leads to sales meetings for your Account Executive
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of key vertical industries and top use cases based on OneSpan’s ideal customer profile
  • Develop and nurture key target account relationships for continued success in delivering meetings with key roles at target accounts

What you need to have/be:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • An entrepreneurial attitude, including the ability to be a self-starter with determination and resourcefulness
  • Experience working with an outbound target account focus
  • Experience in business development, sales, or customer service and experience engaging at different levels across organizations
  • Organizational skills, ability to conduct research and utilize online tools such as Discover.Org, ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Coachable, team oriented attitude with a desire to learn and adapt
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and easily pivoting to address market trends, as needed
  • Genuine intellectual curiousity about others with great listening skills
  • Effective working independently and as part of a team
  • A problem solver who connects challenges to the right solution and knows the right question to ask (and when to ask it)
  • A strong communicator who can engage easily with different types of people
  • Ability to work through rejection, learn, adapt, and move on to the next opportunity or challenge
  •

  • thriving on meeting and exceeding monthly quota targets
  • Fluent in English

 Even better if you have/are:

  • B2B Experience in technology, SaaS, or similar
  • Experience selling SAAS solutions to the banking/financial services and insurance industries
  • Experience with e-signature solutions or digital agreement, workflow technologies or digital security.
  • Experience managing and qualifying leads
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM and sales automation technology for conducting outbound sequences (SalesLoft, Outreach), etc.
