We are looking for a Regional HR Manager to oversee the operations and employee experience of the EMEA and APAC region. You will be an instrumental part of the HR team, driving initiatives to help grow the business and drive success, while ensuring local compliance in policy and practices.

You will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise, guiding a team responsible for core HR generalist services and support including consultative employee and manager guidance, performance management, employee relations, compensation & benefits and HR best practices.

You will be collaborating with team members at all levels and globally to identify and close gaps within the HR function and across the organization balancing employee advocacy with business needs. The individual should be capable of creating and executing a strategy across the region that supports operational goals and objectives.

This position is open to candidates who have their residence in Belgium.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as trusted HR partner to the SVP, Corporate Development.
  • Actively partner with managers to establish, implement, and drive short term and long-term HR strategies which support business results.
  • Responsible for the local delivery and execution of core HR services to employees and manages in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the administration of human resources programs including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resources compliance and strategy needs, and helps localize where necessary
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applying this knowledge to communicate changes in policy and practice.
  • Participate in Cross functional, global initiatives.
  • Represent OneSpan in the Belgian and French Works Councils, together with the local Director(s).
  • Champion programs geared toward corporate culture, recognition, and retention.
  • Mentor team, providing coaching, feedback, and career growth opportunities and training.
  • Member of team creating and rolling out global initiatives, such as Compensation & Performance Mgmt.



  • Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships globally at all levels within the organization.
  • HR experience working in a global organization.
  • Experience rolling out global initiatives, in particular strong compensation experience.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to effectively handle challenging and sensitive personnel situations while maintaining confidentiality and exhibiting sound logic and judgment.
  • Ability to be agile and act as a change agent within the organization.
  • In-depth understanding of HR best practices, with the ability to move seamlessly from strategy development to execution.
  • Strong business acumen and leadership presence.
  • Experience as both a HR Generalist as well as HR Manager with the ability to mentor team that includes both manager and individual contributor levels.
  • HRIS management experience, preferably with Workday.
  • Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Previous experience within the technology industry preferred.
  • Previous experience working for a global organization preferred.
  • Fluent in French, Dutch, and English.
