E-Signature Solutions by eSignLive to Streamline Air Force Purchasing System

May 2, 2007

Air Force users will now complete materiel purchases electronically using Silanis e-signature solutions.

Montreal, QC, May 3, 2007 — The Air Force Materiel Command (AMC) has selected Silanis' ApproveIt® XHTML Server electronic signature solution to help automate materiel purchasing as part of its Purchase Requisition Process System (PRPS), Silanis announced today.

The PRPS is an initiative to streamline the Air Force's purchase requisition process, from the requirements to the contracting stage, and is part of ongoing modernization efforts. The application will run on the Air Force's Global Combat Support System (GCSS) service-oriented architecture.

The premier e-signature provider to DoD, Silanis also has broad experience in e-contracting that includes providing e-signatures to the US General Services Administration (GSA) - the largest contracting organization in the world - and others.

Silanis' ApproveIt XHTML Server enables paperless contracting in real time by integrating legally enforceable electronic signatures and their corresponding audit trails with corporate Internet, Extranet or Intranet sites - eliminating the need for a paper-and-pen signature.

Silanis' XHTML e-signature solution complements its ApproveIt® Desktop solution, allowing organizations to deploy electronic signatures within desktop and Web applications using a common technology and a single electronic credential such as the Silanis ePersona™.
