Silanis seamlessly leverages VeriSign digital certificates in internal and external approval processes

Silanis Booth: #1044
VeriSign Booth: #615

McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, CA, February 18, 2002 - Silanis and VeriSign will demonstrate how digital certificates can be integrated into Silanis' ApproveIt® Desktop e-signature application to combine signing intent and third-party user authentication.

The Silanis and VeriSign solution can be used in internal as well as government-to-government (G2G) and government-to-business (G2B) e-signing processes. To authenticate the signer, Silanis' solution permanently embeds the digital certificate within the password-protected electronic signature file used to sign a document. The validity of each signer's certificate can be verified at any time, with a simple click.

Silanis ApproveIt Desktop supports all x.509 v3 digital certificates. The software also scored 100 percent on each of the 310 PKI interoperability compliance tests performed by the US Department of Defense Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC).
