eSignLive Presents on Public Key Enabled Success Stories at the 2005 Federal Information Securities Conference

June 14, 2005

Montreal, QC, June 15, 2005 — Silanis Technology, the market leader in automating business approval processes, announced today Tommy Petrogiannis, President, will co-present with Mr. Bruce Lyman, Chief Enterprise Officer, Enterprise Information Systems, at the upcoming Federal Information Securities Conference in Colorado Springs, Thursday, June 16, at 11:00 – 12:15 PM. The presentation will focus on Public Key Enabled application success stories while highlighting the use of electronic signatures within the US Army Forms Content Management Program.

Secure, public key-enabled electronic signatures are an integral component of any eGovernment initiative. Without this capability, processes will only be partially automated and will still be burdened by the inconvenience and cost of printing to paper whenever a signature is required. Electronic signatures also allow government organizations to quickly leverage their security infrastructure by providing a valuable application that is easy to use and deploy.

As the leading provider of approval automation solutions to the U.S. Federal, State, and Local Governments, Mr. Petrogiannis will provide attendees with an introduction to electronic approvals with focus on terminology, legislation & standards, application areas, solution functionality and integration considerations within a PKI.

In December of 2004, the US Army chose to deploy an integrated forms management solution combining content management, forms and electronic signature technology, officially named the Forms Content Management Program (FCMP). This program combines these technologies to provide an infrastructure to automate form-based business processes. As part of FCMP, an electronic signature enterprise license for the US Army 1.4 million personnel was awarded to enable the Army to fully automate processes, keeping the forms and other document formats electronic throughout. Mr. Lyman will provide an overview of the requirements for this program, challenges faced in bringing the solutions together and the expected benefits to the US Army as the first phase of the program is deployed this year.
