Sr. Solution Engineer

Reporting to the Vice President, NA Sales, you will be responsible for providing pre-sales services and subject matter expertise during the sales cycle, leveraging your knowledge in financial services, insurance and government business processes.


You will lead in the presentation and positioning of OneSpan products and services as part of an enterprise-level evaluation for anti-fraud, identity, and authentication products, as well as mobile application security solutions. Your prospects will include system integrators, Fortune 1000 and Global 1000 organizations. You will also be preparing and delivering in-person presentations, conference calls, web seminars and product demos to senior level staff. With strong people and interpersonal skills, you will build relationships with a prospect’s evaluation team and establish yourself and OneSpan as a trusted advisor to the prospect.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong communication skills with ability to quickly develop trust with prospects and customers
  • Own communication between the front line and internal groups such as PM and PMM advocating for needs highlighted by prospects and customers within the North American market
  • Demonstrated success of tight engagement with customers post sale leading to future opportunities
  • Lead/create trusted technical relationships within our technology partners
  • Gather and document prospect’s high-level requirements through discovery meetings
  • Position OneSpan’s products to meet prospect’s needs
  • Assist in delivering presentation, product demos and proof-of-concept engagements
  • Provide technical assistance to prospects’ developers by answering integration related questions, providing code samples and testing solutions
  • Provide responses to RFP/RFI questions
  • Travel within North America approximately 20% to 25% of time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
  • Creative thinker, proactive, team-player, success- and results-oriented
  • Experience with software development using either Java or C#
  • Experience with the following standards and technologies: JSON, web services, HTML
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, i.e. load balancers and firewalls
  • Understanding of Web security issues and firewalls
  • Relevant experience in enterprise-level software pre-sales for financial services, insurance or government organizations
  • Proficiency in English oral and written
