This HR Generalist role at OneSpan supports a group of employees based across the EMEA region, taking care of the entire employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist will assist in providing a wide range of HR support and advice to both management and employees. The selected candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on e.g. HR practices, performance management, terminations, and employee relations in general, and ensuring a positive relationship between personnel and management.
This position is open to candidates who have their residence in Belgium.
Providing high-quality advice and service to management on HR best practices, legislation, daily employee relations, and performance management topics; act as a contact for employees for HR related questions
Ensure a qualitative administration in coordination with our HR operations team and payroll team (a.o. preparation of employment contracts, liaison with immigration authorities for work permits and residencies, benefits administration, limited fleet aspects, limited payroll input to the payroll team, Workday administration, ...)
(Assist in) managing HR for your dedicated countries
Be, and if not become an expert of the countries covered
Assist in HR projects:
Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience; identify areas of improvement and propose solutions
Be a great team member
Collaborate with other members of the team and other departments and act as back-up if and when needed
You have around 4+ years of HR experience
You have expertise in HR policies & best practices, preferably in international companies, and working with colleagues in several countries. You understand there are cultural differences, and you preferably have a first expertise with different legislations. If not you’ll learn that on the job!
You are an autonomous quick learner, with sound judgment and problem-solving skills and you enjoy working in a team
You use your excellent communication skills to be a good partner, with high levels of professionalism and discretion
You enjoy working in a fast pace environment
Familiarity with MS Office suite; knowledge of Workday is a plus
Fluent in Dutch, English and (ideally) French, any other language is a plus
