eSignLive adds new AlphaOnline collaboration tool to its electronic signature deployment methodology

May 1, 2006

Montreal, QC, May 2, 2006 — Silanis Technology today announced that it has added a new, online collaboration tool to its electronic signature deployment methodology. The tool, called AlphaOnline™, enables customers to see the progressive development of their customized solution in real-time – starting with the Alpha stage - and to provide immediate feedback.

“Successful IT projects have three things in common: involvement from business owners and users, a clear understanding of the business requirements, and good project management practices.” said Robert Al-Jaar, PhD, Chief Technology Officer of Silanis. “Silanis’ new AlphaOnlineÔ collaboration tool addresses all three areas by enabling any misinterpretations of the business or IT requirements to be identified and corrected in real-time, regardless of the geographic distance that separates the various stakeholders.”

The AlphaOnlineÔ collaboration tool is the newest addition to Silanis’ Go-Live Fast™ methodology. Designed to prevent time delays and budget overruns, Silanis’ Professional Services team uses the methodology to work collaboratively with customers every step of the way. This includes meeting with senior-level management to discuss business objectives and gather initial requirements, to managing the entire project ensuring it is completed on time, on budget and according to specifications.

“Customers turn to Silanis because they have an urgent business goal that needs to be met or a problem that needs to be addressed, and they know that Silanis has the experience and methodology to get them there,” added Al-Jaar. “Our Go-Live Fast methodology is driven by a corporate philosophy that focuses on implementing the customer’s end-to-end electronic signature solution - FAST!”

With the addition of AlphaOnlineÔ, Silanis and its customers can work in parallel in their respective environments, while enabling the electronic signature part of the solution to be viewed and tested online in real-time as it is being developed. As the solution evolves, Silanis walks the customer through the new features and gathers feedback on the spot. The customers’ comments are immediately communicated back to the Silanis development team, closing the loop right away and avoiding any potential misunderstandings or undue delays.

“Selling our solutions isn’t enough. Customers have to use them,” said Al-Jaar. “If the project doesn’t go live, we consider it a failure. That’s why Silanis guides our customers and manages the project from beginning to end. To quote one of our recent customers, ‘you deliver and you make us deliver’.”

With more than 14 years and 1,100 customers, Silanis has become the acknowledged expert in electronic signatures. Over the years, Silanis has developed a proven methodology and assisted some of the largest commercial and government organizations in the world to achieve paperless processes, including Stewart Title, BMW Financial Services and the entire US Army.
