GMAC Commercial Mortgage deploys eSignLive electronic signatures across entire company
Montreal, Qc, January 9, 2001 — GMAC Commercial Mortgage (GMACCM) has now fully deployed Silanis ApproveIt, an electronic signature and approval management software, across more than 50 worldwide locations and 1,800 employees. Silanis’s award-winning software will be used internally by the Commercial Mortgage’s division to electronically sign a variety of documents, such as credit memos, expense reports, employee appraisals and employee benefits packages.

Prior to deploying ApproveIt, GMAC Commercial Mortgage used mail and fax as their primary methods of distributing documents for signature approvals. Certain approval processes, such as credit memos, required up to 14 signatures to be captured within a single document. The approval process would typically begin in one of its offices in the U.S., Canada, Japan, France or Ireland, travel to corporate headquarters in Horsham, PA for further signature approvals, and then be returned to the satellite office for final processing. Silanis ApproveIt enables the process to remain completely electronic.
“We chose Silanis ApproveIt because it provided us with an efficient solution that is flexible enough to support the way we work today while enabling us to develop new processes,” said Marzigliano. “We’re able to sign our existing document templates created in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, and we are using ApproveIt to electronically sign HTML forms on our Intranet site.”
