eSignLive announces support for IBM Forms 4.0 with new release of e-Sign Desktop
electronic signature provider for the US Army, 21st Century, a Country Financial, BMW Financial Services and many other leading government, financial services, and insurance organizations, today announced that the latest release of its e-Sign Desktop solution 6.6 now supports IBM Forms 4.0. Already the most flexible electronic signature solution for internal business processes, version 6.6 of e-Sign Desktop (formerly known as ApproveIt Desktop) adds support for IBM Forms 4.0 on top of its existing support for MS Word, MS Excel, MS InfoPath, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Accelio. Organizations using IBM Forms 4.0’s powerful “built-in” workflow engine and design tools to automate forms-based processes can now maximize their investment by adding Silanis’ electronic signing capabilities to also achieve a 100% electronic approval process. e-Sign Desktop is a highly flexible and secure electronic signature solution that plugs into common file formats and supports the embedding of signatures within documents to facilitate integration with existing content management and workflow systems. The solution is JITC and DoD PKI-certified and is entrusted by some of the world’s most security-conscious organizations, including the US Joint Chiefs of Staff and the US Army, to streamline their approval processes. Leveraging digital signature technology, e-Sign Desktop ensures that the contents of an electronically signed document or form can't be modified without detection or authorization, and that a permanent audit trail of the process is created to record the intent of all parties. The solution can also be combined with a variety of user authentication solutions, including PKI, digital certificates and smart cards. If none of these technologies are in place, organizations can leverage e-Sign Desktop’s built-in support for self-signed certificates so that the solution can be deployed right out of the box. Earlier this year, the U.S. Army renewed its e-Sign Desktop enterprise license agreement with Silanis. When fully implemented with the Army Publishing Content Management System, the solution is expected to save the Army $1.3 billion each year. Other government organizations that have moved to paperless approval processing using Silanis’ e-signature solutions include the General Services Administration (GSA), US Air Force Global Combat Support group, Kansas Department of Transportation, Bechtel, and Electric Boat name a few.
About Silanis Silanis' solutions have processed hundreds of millions of e-signatures since the company was founded in 1992 (50 million in 2010 alone), making it the most widely used e-signature solution. The world’s largest insurance and financial services companies, government agencies, and service providers depend on Silanis to accelerate business transactions and reduce costs while improving compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The company’s on-premise, cloud and SaaS e-signature solutions eliminate manual, paper-based processing to enable e-commerce and e-government transactions to be executed fully electronically from start to finish.
