Kevin Lambert, Regional Sales Manager

Kevin L., Regional Sales Manager, based in OneSpan’s office in Boston

What’s your role at OneSpan?

I’ve been with OneSpan for about three years, and in that time, I’ve been fortunate to have been able to advance my career here.

When a friend (and now colleague) originally recruited me to join the North American sales team, I was hesitant because of my lack of financial services experience. I started in an entry-level sales role, responsible for outbound prospecting and then moved into mid-market sales. After much hard work, I’m now a regional sales manager responsible for all aspects of sales in the northeast region – looking back reminds me that joining OneSpan was one of the best decisions I’ve made.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

I get to work with colleagues who I consider my close friends. I genuinely enjoy going to work, and the friendships I have with my colleagues provide value to the work I do every day.

I also love that I get to help our customers complete their projects and meet their goals. I really stand behind OneSpan’s anti-fraud and digital identity solutions being able to help financial institutions provide a superior experience and return on investment. What keeps me going as a sales rep is helping our customers accomplish great things. Especially now during the pandemic, stopping fraud and digitizing processes are two of the most important things we can help banks do.

What do you like about working at OneSpan?

I like how we are a global company. I’ve made some great connections with colleagues in various regions around the world. The best part is hearing about the different sales challenges, such as country-specific regulations and regional customer needs, and applying this information to my role. This kind of information sharing is just part of the resources, tools and support OneSpan provides us to be successful and make an impact.

What motivates you at work?

The people and team culture. We have a great team culture in Boston, where everyone is always willing to help and support each other where they can. We also have a lot of fun while we work to make a difference and help our customers, like our weekly darts competition along with other fun activities.

What qualities do people need to be successful at OneSpan?

A customer-centric attitude is key for anyone. From a sales perspective, it’s important to enjoy helping people and meeting their goals. This quality will help advance your career at OneSpan.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of OneSpan?

I’ve spent the last six years in the National Guard as a military police officer. I’ve been fortunate to work for a company that supports my decision to serve our country. I’m also getting married next year and look forward to celebrating with my colleagues who I also call my friends.
